Simply known as TAG, there is really nothing simple about Alex Tagliani.  Fluent in French, Italian and English, the French Canadian is intensely competitive but very personable, passionate and fun.  This combination makes TAG well liked by his competitors and a fan favorite.

Racing became his passion at the age of 10 years, when he was introduced to karting on a visit to see his paternal Grandfather in Northern Italy.  An enthusiastic competitor with racing in his blood, TAG will give 110% to his race team on any given day.

TAG is currently competing in the 2012 IZOD Indycar season with Bryan Herta Autosport, Lotus factory team.  In 2011 he had 2 back-to-back poles, including the Indianapolis 500 during its centennial year.   In total since the beginning of his career in open wheel racing, Alex has accumulated 8 wins, 10 pole positions, 24 podiums and 35 top-10 finishes.

Known for his technical abilities and feel for the car, he has helped various inexperienced teams rise in a very competitive sport.

On any given day away from the track, TAG can be seen rollerblading on the “Monon” Trail close to his home in Indiana or biking the Red Rock mountains when at his West coast home in Las Vegas.

Training and Nutrition are among his many passions that also include go-karting at a track just outside of Montreal in his twin 250cc kart, custom built by his father.

Nascar Nationwide Series, Canadian Tire series, V8 Supercars and the GT series are among other forms of racing that TAG races when not in an Indycar.
